'JINGLES' and 'AVON'

As other ways to generate money for our animals here at the farm, Jingles has become an Avon representative. The "Farm Lady" is selling REGAL as well. We are looking for new customers in our area to serve. If you are interested in
either Avon or Regal, please feel free to call us at 641-2281 or 662-2636 and ask us for the latest book. We will be more than happy to deliver it to you.
ALSO Jingles is promoting a new product called CITRA-BLAST and I promise that this is the best cleaner I have ever used. It is enviromentally friendly and is non-caustic and chemical free. It is a multi-purpose cleaner and is the only cleaner you need for your entire cleaning jobs. Everything from windows, removing stains, car washing, jewellry cleaning, etc........ THIS IS AWESOME STUFF! It is 14.95 a bottle but it is concentrated so you mix it with water according what you are using it for. A convenient chart for dilution comes with each bottle. Call us to give it a try . If its not the greatest cleaner you have used JINGLES will return your money to you. WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE? Call us today for Avon, Regal or Citra Blast and help us raise some money for the farm............Bye for now and remember to LAUGH LOTS....

We Made The Truro Daily News

Great
Taking care of the kids

The Truro Daily News

By Monique Chiasson

TRURO DAILY NEWS

BELMONT – While there are a variety of family sizes, most don’t include 20 children.

That many to care for certainly keeps sisters Beverlie Allen and Crysti Dahlgren busy – even though the “kids” have tails, fur, feathers or four feet.

The siblings own MyRose Stables and Pet-a-Pet Farm in Belmont. There are about 20 animals – varying from cats, dogs and birds to a pot-bellied pig, horses, ducks, rabbits, chickens, roosters and a goat. About half of the animals were rescued.

“I’ve been dreaming about (doing) this all my life,” said Beverlie.

“We hate to see animals abused,” added Crysti as to why the ladies would invest thousands of dollars – their own money – in such an adoption venture.

“They don’t care what you look like or how much money you have or don’t have, they love you unconditionally,” said Crysti.

“I always had animals growing up. I never really went to parties or things like that. I’d stay at home with the animals,” Beverlie said of her great love of animals.

Daisy, a four-year-old pot-bellied pig, was the first of the animals to be rescued. The women said the pig was destined to be put to sleep and the goats they eventually adopted were saved from the slaughter house.

“The goats were at an auction ... they were about a half an hour away from beginning the auction to slaughter them,” said Crysti.

Other animals rescued include a horse, Arthur, who was being abused by more aggressive animals and a dog that was often left tied to a kitchen table.

Since the women began bringing animals into the farm about four years ago, the numbers have increased. Last summer the sisters decided to allow children to host their birthday parties at the pet-a-pet farm so others could enjoy the gentle animals as well.

“This is the most we’ve ever had at a time ... we have had to keep adding buildings for them,” laughed Crysti. There are five buildings and a barn to house all the animals.

However, there is one animal the siblings would not bring into the fold.

“Snakes. We’re terrified of them. I have nightmares just talking about them,” shuddered Beverlie.

The women remind people a few things must be considered before adopting animals.

“Check to see if they are healthy. You don’t want to spread any diseases to the other animals,” said Crysti.

“Animals are a full-time commitment ... and you have to make sure it’s in the animals’ best interests” when going to a new home.
